Research Theme: urban culture, historical urban landscape, heritage theories, mundane heritage of cities, urban history, Japanese shopping-streets, urban decay, memory, architectural theories, architectural heritage

Research Topic: The main interest of the research is to understand and analyse the role that Japanese shopping streets play in the life of the city, while reading the city from the micro level and considering them as mundane sites of heritage and memory, creating a forgotten, decaying urban landscape in the ever-changing globalised Tokyo.
