Capacity Building Program 2021/2022

University of Tsukuba and cooperative experts in Japan and Cambodia are carrying out the capacity building program of the experts and students for safeguarding Sambor Prei Kuk since April 2020 with the financial support from Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japanese Government. 


This program contained three programs as follows:


(A) Program for Young Expert/Student

Field training program for the Cambodian university students at archaeological site of Sambor Prei Kuk

from 24th February to 9th February, 2021

Technical training program for field conservators of brick structures

First year: from November 2020 to March 2021

Second year: from September 2021 to March 2022

(C) Program for Expert

First year (October 6 and 7, November 10 to 13, 2020)

"Online Exchanging Program for Research and Preservation of the Archaeological Typed Urban Heritage"

We invited seven Japanese experts for providing lectures and exchange the ideas between Japanese and Cambodian experts as follows.

Day 5: 7th December

Lecture by SHIMODA Ichita (University of Tsukuba)
